The founder of JRB is Mr Fareed Bruintjies who has spent the past 25 years of his career in a financial /commercial environment, of which the past 20 years was spent in the enterprise financing / development and Small and Medium Enterprise investment / finance market, whilst the initial period was spent in the auditing, accounting and taxation fields.

 

He has gained extensive experience and expertise in the entire value chain of enterprise finance and development, including marketing of enterprise financing products, staff management, business management at a senior management level, active management of client portfolios, high level negotiations on structured funding, due diligence investigations, credit vetting, business analysis, business consulting, exit negotiations, legal aspects of enterprise lending, portfolio growth and management, mentorship, etc.

 

Furthermore, he has developed high levels of in depth knowledge of a number of industries and has lead teams of various sizes and expertise over the years. His development finance expertise range from solutions offered to micro enterprises (Grameen model direct lending) and early stage enterprises, to larger SME's operating in the formal sector.

 

In addition, Fareed is experienced in various general management aspects, inter alia overall Business Operations, Business Unit and Investment Unit / Fund management, Area Management, human resources, budget management, etc. He has also been recognized for performance excellence and has served on a number of prominent external organizations.

 

Furthermore, he is an accomplished public speaker and media contributor at various forums. A network of associates from various consulting disciplines has been established throughout South Africa.
